Putting together my own shop compressor (I think).
I will be having a separate tank and motor/pump (about 10' apart.

I can not find a compressor "base plate" to mount the motor/pump/fan guard to.

I am not in the position to fabricate one at this time.
I would have thought I could purchase one online from 20 different places, but no luck.

Anyone know where one can be purchased?

Thanks,
Slack

Maybe put an ad on CL for a failed compressor tank, or ask around at some scrap yards. Almost seems like you could even make one out of wood, 3/4" plywood reinforced with some 2X4's or angle iron.

That is a good question :)
Looking at a 5hp 1750rpm 1ph motor and small2 stage pump,, I had assumed pumps and motors of this general size had the same bolt pattern,, But I have been proven wrong before!

If they are being separated, then I would layout the pump and motor and take a best guess on the belt length. Have a piece of 1/4" plate cut. They could probably even place the holes where you want.i would guess $100 for cut plate and holes and you are good to go.
