I just got a new 60 gallon Porter Cable air compressor. I got no paper work with it. Is there a break in procedure for these like there is with an oil less compressor? If so, what is it?
What's the duty cycle on it? If it's 100%, run it for 20-30 minutes with the tank open. If it's less than 100%, run it up to the duty cycle a couple times, again tank open.
My 60 gallon said run it for 30 minutes with the tank wide open. drain the oil, refill. Let completely cool down. Start it up and let it cycle once. If no issues then it's good from there on.
