I have an older wayne air compressor. There are some pics of it in my previous posts.
The check valve is leaking pretty bad. Is it in any way able to be cleaned or rebuilt, or repaired in any way. I took it apart and it really doesn't look too bad in there. Can I just clean the gritty surfaces? Based on the pictures does it look like I need a new one, and if so, where would i get a new one? To be honest I'm not even so sure how these things work so I would appreciate any input.

Based on the questions you asked, I'd say you'd be better off getting a new one rather than trying to repair one you don't know anything about.

Well i did some research and it seems that that rod with the plastic cap just seats against the surface in the body. Can I just clean the two of them. By the way this valve has been sitting unused for many years. probably 20.
