Hey Guys,
I've been tiling my first floor for about two weeks now and I'm coming to the end of this project shortly. Next I'll be looking to begin replacing the moldings, door casing, and eventually adding some crown molding to this same area.

I'm looking at the following three compressor combo kits and was wondering if anybody has worked directly with them, had issues or just loved them, etc. I've read all the reviews on Amazon (mostly favorable for each kit) and they're all in the same price range so at this point I think it's just narrowing down which one I want and pulling the trigger.

Bostitch 6-Gallon CPACK300 3 tool combo kit

Porter Cable PC3Pak 6-Gallon 3-tool kit

Dewalt 2-Gallon 2 tool kit

Thanks :)

I got the bostitch kit since the 18ga gun will take 2in brads. The porta cable will not. I got mine at cpo bostitch reconditioned for 199. So far so good.

Those are good prices.... I got my stuff separately. I have the Bostich 18g brad nailer and it works well. Put up trim in various rooms in 2 different houses, used it 'ala Norm' to glue some projects together.

I have a Ridgid 16g Finish nailer.... used it to hang some doors. Don't like the size of the hole it leaves. Also used it to tack up the battens on my board and batten shed, and then added regular wood siding nails afterwards by hand.

If u want to run air tools like impact wrench, ratchets, chisel - you'll be wanting a larger compressor

I believe those compressors will be among the loudest.

Do you need to small Compressor?
Or are you just interested in the Nailers?

I didnt need the Compressor, and I picked up a 5 piece Campbell Hausfeld set at Lowes for $200.
Staper, Brad Nailer, Finish Nailer and Full Head Framing Nailer (with an air Palm Hammer)
Came with nails, all the air fitting, oil and Case.
I have used them alot, and love them.
But, If you do need the Compressor, Those are all good deals...I am just a Big fan of full head nail and not the clipped nail heads on the Framers.

I have the 'old' (like 3 yr old) CH clipped head nailer. Works fine. I suppose the round head is better, but my nail heads have not pulled through the wood in anything i've built.

I think they have new round nails for clipped head nailers now?

@petee_c I don't plan on running air tools off of this compressor and realize it will probably be louder than I would like, but it will help me move through trim and crown much more efficiently.

@KCarGuy I do need the compressor as I have nothing right now outside of a hammer and punch and I can guarantee you I will NOT be doing this work with those two tools!
