What type of thread does an air compressor typically use for the cylinder head fitting? It goes to the compression fitting on the line on the other end. Bostitch 6 gal 135 psi horizontal. The original elbow fitting is missing so I never got a look at it.
My 60 gal compressor has a typical male 1/4" MPT fitting into the cyl head and a compression fitting with a finer thread pitch on the other end. Is this the same compression fitting as a gas line or are there different thread pitches? I'm hoping I can nail this down and find something at the local hardware store. Maybe in the gas line fitting section?
