Air compressor direct

Trying to stretch the dollar and looking to see if anyone has any experience with aircompressorsdirect?

No experience with them. With that said, after looking over their site, I'm not really impressed.

You can get similar quality locally. The Quincey they show is not much better than a Kobalt from Lowes. Its a decent unit, but I would spend money local for ease of warranty issues...if you ever have any.

Quincy QT series pumps are OK for a light duty unit, or home garage.

If for industrial use, stick with the 300 series. Other brands are good too, but the Quincy 300 series is the Cadillac of pumps. You will pay a premium for them.

I bought my 80 gallon compressor from them. Was delivered about 10 days after ordering with a liftgate truck. Everything went very smoothly.

Same company owns moweresdirect, and a few others. Basically they are just resellers. Don't expect help with warranty issues from them or a local place when they realize where you bought it.

I bought from their sister company pressurewashersdirect. I had my unit the next day. While unpacking it I found the valve on top of the gas tank was broken. They shipped me the replacement part the next day no fuss or problems.. I agree tho to check prices the Puma Model: PK6060V is $679 at aircompressorsdirect.. The NorthStar compressor Item# 47500 from northern tool is the same size and has the same options is $599..

I found a much better price locally when looking for my quincy.

Bought two Chicago Pneumatic 60 gallon compressors and two driers from them. No issues.

Air compressors direct is nothing but a dealer that offers a little support as they can get buy with. They buy from the same location as other dealers so I suggest looking locally first to see if you get the same deal.
