Air Compressor Experts - Help Please

My dad has this 1995 Puma air compressor he bought from Northern Tool back in the day, it has its first problem. The check valve is missing the stopper / plug, we assume it fell apart and is in the tank. Anyway, I cannot find a replacement valve or a rebuild kit. The valve is 3/4" npt and 3/4" jic. I'm hoping to find a replacement / rebuild kit vs using a different check valve and re-bending the pipe from the head to the tank. I have called and emailed Puma but they have yet to respond, 4 days now.

I'm trying to avoid re-bending the large brass line that goes from the head to the valve. This will be last resort.

That is 1/2" NPT. I need 3/4" NPT. Quite a bit of difference in the physical size of the valve which I would worry could raise the pressure seen by the head.

Correct, and I have contacted them via e-mail and phone and have received no word back from them. Their main line goes straight to voicemail.

Please don't take this the wrong way because I don't know your mechanical background or level of expertise, but are you sure it's a 3/4" NPT, or did you measure the o.d. of the threads at 3/4"?

It is 3/4" npt, 100%. Outside thread is 1.05"

Ok then. Just clarifying. If you can't find the original check valve, rest assured the 1/2" one will not pose any risk of overpressurizing the pump.

Just install the 3/4" straight check valve, put the bleeder hole to the side and screw in a 3/4 NPT X JIC adapter. You should end up close enough to thread on your original outlet tube.
