Air Compressor Help

Hello,

I am looking for an air compressor to work with an IR 2115QTI Max. I will not be using it much at all, but I thought it would be nice to have.

I got this cheap HF 21 gallon that lasted maybe a week (turns on and then turns off really quick and throws the reset switch).

I am looking for something around 20 gallon and around the $200-300 price range.

I have looked at craftsman, but the scfm @90 is 3.8 and the 2115 requires 4 @90 psi. So I would guess it's out of the question.

If I need something smaller/bigger please let me know. As you can tell, I don't want to spend much on this, but something that would work would be great.

I have already searched and most things I find are about these big 60+ gallons which I don't need at all.

One thing to understand is that even though a compressor is rated at 3.8 it will deliver a lot more than that for a short time. If your running the gun hard then you may have to wait for the compressor to catch up. However if easy use as you state then you should be fine with waiting some for the compressor to catch up to your needs.

Your best bet is a true 1.5 hp air compressor from Rol Air or Jenny. But they are more pricey than 300 dollars. I don't know what $300 gets you as far as CFM vs storage.
