So basically I want to keep my very loud oil less craftsman air compressor out of the garage. I was planning on putting up in the attic above the garage in a tiny room next to soffets lined inside and out with insulation to deaden the sound. Problem with this is in Houston it gets pretty freakin hot out in the summers.... So I'm worried about this action killing the compressor really if it lasted 5 years there I would be satisfied. So then the idea of building a "dog house" right outside the garage and piping it in came to mind or going ahead and building the storage building out back on the other side of the house and putting it in there. But why would it be any cooler in either of these locations which will be built exactly like the house with as-fault shingles. So with all this said what would be recommended? And putting in garage in or under anything is not an option.
