Air compressor motor

Got a free air compressor motor. What should I use it for? I dunno what ,if any, fun things i can do with it. Any ideas? Its a small guy off a 6gal

6 gallon compressor motor? Probably pretty small - maybe fractional HP. Probably a fan or a small bench grinder or polishing wheel, etc.

I believe it is 2 HP but it doesn't say on the specs. It'd be awesome if it is fractional cause I've got a grinder head that needs a motor.

It is very unlikely that it's actually a 2 HP motor. It's probably a 1 HP at the most. Would likely make a reasonable grinder.

What was the CFM of the compressor is came from?..... 4 CFM per HP roughly.

Cant see the cfm but it is 120v 13 amps which is way too low for a 2HP motor right? More like 1HP if that.

Assuming perfect efficiency (yeah right) it would be about a 2 HP motor. It's most likely about a 1.5 HP.

That's a very powerful grinder. Could easily swing a 10" wheel.

Yea its probably too powerful for my application but I might as well give it a try.
