
Not it’s not doing anything, no humming or buzzing. I ordered a new capacitor because they are pretty cheap but it looks like I might just have to replace the motorHard to tell from that photo, The only way to know for sure is to have the coils tested. But that's beyond a voltmeter and for the cost of a new motor it's probably not worth it. If you have a electric motor shop near to you you might have it tested - or just replace it. Is it doing anything at all when the power is on?

If the stator coils were shorting and melting together it would have been overheating / smoking. If it just stopped working you might be able to get lucky and find something wrong. good catch , on another look it could pass for paint.But one second look, it almost looks like black paint?
