So I have an older(1975) Dayton 80 gallon 2 stage compressor that I converted over to single phase from 3 phase with a motor swap. I'm in the process of hooking it up and it works and builds pressure fine so I would like to do some PM and change the oil on it. What kind of oil does has everyone been using and what do I need for this compressor? and what options are out there for air filters for the inlet air? currently I just have a 1 inch open hole with no threads or anything.

I switched to DeWalt synthetic compressor oil in my single-stage 30-gallon. It seems to build pressure faster and run cooler. It's probably fine for a 2-stage compressor, but I'd double-check.

For filters, look on Amazon or other sites for Solberg filters with the right CFM rating. Maybe tap the hole to accept a large filter.
