Just setting up a used compressor (seller said, works good, but motor burned
up)and figured I'd at least change the oil before I try to run it for the first time.
So what is the standard oil/water ratio you guys use(see attached image). Also, is 1/2" of white sludge in the bottom enough?:wtf:

I resurrected an older compressor one time and was surprised at how much water was in the crankcase oil.
I wasn't sure how it happened, if it was left out in the rain or just a result of condensation .
drained it, flushed a few times and put in new oil. it's been running fine

Yeah, hopefully this one works, but i'm not too concerned. I just bought it so the seller would hold the Devilbiss 432 for me. If it lasts until I have that one rebuilt, I'd be very happy.

I did leave this one in the driveway to age for a few months before making room for it in the garage.
