Hey everyone, longtime follower here. Love the advice and knowledge I've picked up on here. You've saved my rear end more than a handful of times, trust me.
But here's my problem. I bought a Master Craft air compressor a couple years back off of Amazon and started having trouble with it building pressure in the tank. Once it got to 25 psi, it just kept running without building anymore pressure on the tank. In between all of this, I had an issue with the electricity in my garage and when I turned the compressor on, all I got was a low humming sound coming from it. I suspect a bad capacitor on that problem.
So once I took off the capacitor, I figured I'd go ahead and check the reeds and gaskets on the pump and that's when I found out the head on the pump had cracked and part of it broken off. Will post pics once I figure out how.
Unfortunately, I have had no luck finding a replacement head, so I was wondering what my options could be? Cut my losses and buy a new compressor? I hate to do that, seeing as how everything else on it is in good working order. Is there anywhere that even sells small direct drive piston pumps? Can I convert to belt driven setup?
It's a 3.5 hp motor, tank capacity is 10 gallon. Any information is appreciated!!
