I am getting ready to finalize my air line setup. My main usage will be air tools for auto work. I don't think I will do any painting or sand blasting. I wanted to get feedback on my proposed setup. Also my compressor is the 60 gallon 3.2 HP Husky from home depot. This setup is in my 2 car garage. Compressor is on back wall of the garage.
My plan is as follows:
All pipe will be 1/2" copper.
1. Ball valve right off compressor.
2. 1/2" flexible line to horizontal line running about 3 feet.
3. Vertical line to bring pipe to ceiling (about 6'). I will "T" the line so I have a drain at the bottom of the vertical run.
4. Horizontal line running to front of the garage (~20') with about 2" of slope away from the compressor.
5. Vertical drop with drain at the bottom.
6. "T" off the vertical drop with flexible hose connected to a Milton 3/8" filter/regulator (Milton 1110).
7. Flexible hose from Milton filter/regulator going to Harbor Freight 50' hose reel.
All couplers and plugs will be 1/4" Milton Hi-Flow off of the Harbor Freight reel.
I figure the ~30' of copper will provide a decent amount of cooling to keep the moisture down. I thought about adding a coalescing filter but I figured since I will not be doing any painting I should be OK. Does anyone see any issues with my setup.
Thanks!
Steve
