Air Compressor Placement

I have a BelAire 7.5 air upright air compressor that I want to put in the corner in front of or next to a big old cast iron hot water radiator. Would there be any problem with the heat and the air compressor? The room is very open for ventilation. Thanks.

I don't see a problem. The heat is a hot water system, not a steam system, right?

Make sure you leave enough room so that you can walk all the way around the compressor for service and maintenance. All too often I see people shove their compressors as far into a corner as possible with no regard for serviceability.

Heat's not good for electronics, but you're just raising the ambient temperature, not heating the motor. How far away? And will the motor be receiving radiant heat directly?

you can always box the rad in with steel and have the top open. maybe some insulation. it will stop most of it. Orient the tank closer to it and the electronics away

The cooler the better. Duty cycle is a factor too. Some climates have ambient temperature in the 80's, 90's. Some heat part time won't hurt much.
