Before anyone says anything, yes, I searched. I searched here, I searched google, I can't find what I'm looking for, but I know that somebody here has to know...

I have a 60-gallon Husky air compressor that the previous owner swapped a Quincy QTS-3 onto. The stickers claim a 7.5 (peak) hp motor, but I think the pump sounds a little worse for wear.

I would like to replace the pump with one creating at least 12+ cfm at 90, and I have seen a number of them between $150-300, but which are legit and which are terrible/over-rated?

Thanks!

So let me get this straight . . . .
. . . . . you've got functioning Quincy compressor that maybe knocking ??

And instead of rebuilding, you want to replace with lesser quality and lower CFM import or other compressor??

Why ??? Quincy QTS-3 is rated at 16.5 CFM with up to 5.5 HP.

No way in my book. Price out the parts for Quincy and REBUILD it !! ;)

^See, that would make it worth it
I was trying to read their catalog and I came away with a lower number. I have seen the formula to estimate CFM by timing your full fill, but my drain is leaking and I was waiting until I fix that first.

If it does come out to a full 16.5, that is incredible and I wouldn't replace it.
Thank you
