Air Compressor - Rebuild or Replace?

A family member recently gave me an older compressor which I am hoping to use in my shop. Its is a Puma PK6560VS. According to some lite googling its a 15.5 cfm 5HP 60gal upright. The compressor is obviously well used and was likely second hand before my uncle got it.

Its been tipped over at least once and two of the three heads have broken cooling fins. One of the heads also has damage to the threaded inlet so I cannot install the intake assembly. I pulled two of the heads off and the pistons and bores look good. I am having a hard time finding parts for the compressor (heads and reed valves).

The compressor does run and makes pressure, but I would need to replace some parts before I felt good using it (pressure switch, some sketchy wiring, etc.).

So the question is, should I continue to look for replacement parts for the old compressor pump, or should I just replace the entire compressor pump as a unit?

as far as the broken cooling fins, going to go out on a limb here & say it probably wont have a huge effect on cooling, unless they are major broken. even then the total impact is probably negligible for home use shop situation .
as far as the intake filter threads, it doesn't need to be super secure, a little jury-rigging will go a long ways here.
some pics would be nice !

Sorry, yes pictures were on my phone and had to wait to get home to post them. The clean part of the piston is where I wiped away some of the grime with a rag.

Puma is still in business I believe. Or at least they were three years ago when I last attended AAPEX. Call them up and see if they have the parts you need.
