Air compressor regulator problems

I have a husky 80 gallon compressor, which is basically a rebranded Campbell hausfeld. Problem is, the regulator leaks behind the knob and it drives me crazy. This is the third Chinese regulator set that I've put on it in 6 months (factory replacements). My question is... can anyone look at what i have and tell me what I'll need to reroute and get rid of the factory regulator? I don't mind buying an aftermarket regulator and simplifying this setup as much as possible. I just don't know what all is absolutely needed. Thanks in advance 58059ce4bad4726163cebbe516f15b4e.jpgc7e82f765f278ec1a408215eb8323046.jpgd6feb58bfd3717d75f91b15c9f9c6ebf.jpg533c653b6072a17f02065ae81e04182d.jpg

Honestly that regulator on the front panel isn't more than a just in case sort of convenience thing. I would simply cap it and plumb a proper regulator and air line off the side of the compressor. Do understand that that regulator can't keep up with the sort of loads that compressor can handle.

My father and I recently worked with the 4 hp jr version of that compressor (same 80 gallon tank and regulator set). Since, in our case, the regulator and gauges were damaged we simply capped the line to the whole cluster (it T's into the pressure switch). We put a 3/4" high flow regulator on the side of the tank then used a flexible line to connect the system to his existing shop air lines. In his case the front panel wasn't really accessible anyway. I figure if you have an 80 gallon, 7.5hp compressor you really should be plumbing the thing into shop air lines.
