air compressor speed

How fast should I spin ( max RPM) a Dayton (Speedaire) V twin pump # 1Z945B ? I am spinning it with a 3450 RPM 220v motor. The motor sheave is 3 inch and the pump has a 10 sheave. Altho the compressor seems to operate ok, I feel the pump should be spinning slower.
