Sorry, i did a quick search and found no threads on subject.

Has anyone built a compressor base or stand with casters, to easily move it. That you can use like legs on the sides to prop up or elevate 1/2 inch when caster not in use?

i dont know if you get my idea.

a bigger version of this (internet photo)

for a compressor this big..

my compressor is not stationary, ive been able to move it arround with car dollies, lol..

mostly i want to see some examples, and what kind of iron u guys used. or if you direct me to the post...

thankssss:thumbup:

because i have not decided its final resting place, and sometimes i like to organize the garage around. its complicated, sorry, but i figure it would be a solution to my problem.

i moved it from one place to another, but im not liking it there, plus the pallet its starting to get on my nerves...

I added casters to my upright compressor. The original studs of the casters were not long enough to reach through the foot of the compressor and I didn't want to modify the compressor in any way, so I cut off the original studs on the casters and welded on longer 1/2" diameter bolts.

The casters have brakes making it possible to lock it down where I want it, yet still move it a bit for cleaning and access. They also help greatly in vibration isolation.

I'd just leave it connected to pallet until you have your garage layout and airline system completed . . . ie either Copper or Black Pipe Steel. :D

Until finalized, just get you a pallet jack and move around as needed.
