So I have an 80 gallon Curtis horizontal tank that Im rebuilding a quincy 325 for. The inspection plate says 220 sides and 190 end caps which is way thicker than most tanks they make today. Id like to rehab it but I am concerned about the fact that there are no fittings on the bottom. Can I really effctively drain this thing regularly if all of the water is in the bottom and the drain would be on the sides? Any advice is appreciated thanks fellas😬

There is a dip hose to the bottom if it has a side drain. It's mainly/cause,,,, it's so that there is no sump to freeze. When it thaws can drain it.

OH! I didnt even realize that. You just solved my dilema. I prefer horizontal tanks as long as theres no space issue. Im not very tall so its easier for me to work on the horizontal tanks. Thank you!🤘😬
