My compressor sits behind my garage in a dry alcove. It generates quite a bit of condensation, so I got an automatic drain for the tank, which should purge the tank every so often. I also wanted to put a typical regulator with water filter on the outlet of the tank, but those things only hold a few ounces of water. Does that mean I'd need to go out to the tank all the time to purge the filter? That would mean leaving the garage and going out back, etc., so not very convenient.
Do they make regulator/filters with automatic drains, like the ones for the tank itself?
Will the automatic tank drain lessen the amount of water caught in the filter, such that I can drain the filter pretty infrequently?
Should I just run the air straight into the garage and add a regulator/filter inside where I can drain it as needed? The way it's plumbed, that would mean running 2 or 3 regulators, so hoping to avoid that.
