Damn. I am looking at my compressor which is 50 litres and pretty unwieldy. Thats like 13 gallons (US). They don't even sell these much any more, they sell the 25 litre ones. I can't see the point of them, the 50 litre is not enough without stop and starting all the time.

Mind I got it 5 years ago for around £60 which was around $90 at the time.

It looks like the 60 gal Morgan has already been taken off the Northern website. I think it was up less than 12 hours.

I bought the U S General 60 gal a week ago. All the reviews I found were good; it was on sale; and in the short time I have had it, I am very pleased with it. From what I read, the only line at H/F to get is the US General; their other named compressor is not the same quality

That Morgan is refurbished....makes even less sense about the warranty to me because usually the whole point of "refurbished" is its as good as new and they usually give the same warranty as new to entice the sale.

I buy a lot of refurbished tools, with great success. A 30 day warranty on a Morgan is real weak. I ended going with a Puma for that one reason.

A while back my my family wanted to all chip in on getting my little brother (granted he was 28yrs old then) a new compressor. I did a ton of research and found out that US General are made inteh same plant as Bel Aire, yes they are both made by IMC. The factory rep mentioned that they use the same tanks, just slightly lower end pumps and motors. Granted this was ~4 years ago, but that was enough to impress me and since then he has been running many of DA's, air files and impacts.

Tanks don't wear out or fail, that's like saying Ford uses the same type of sheet metal as Ferrari so they are just slightly lower end cause they use slightly lower electronics and drive train.
