Air compressor

Hello everyone a quick question . I'm purchasing a new oil free compressor it's a upright ,my question can I lay it on its side to transport it home it's about a 30 minute drive. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you

spend a touch more and get a oil bath/filled crank case on the compressor, longer life. less noise,

There is no oil in it, you can take it out of your truck and fire it right up. I will second Handyfarmer suggestion to buy a belt driven model with oil. The noise difference will be significant.
