Some people stated in prior threads about this unit, that it isn't that hot of a compressor. And Porter Cable support for it are pretty poor at best. Buyer be ware!

Nah. They are in the delta dewalt group, you would get decent support. Pump is usually devilbiss

It shows $419.99, with a regular price of $489.99, which is what I would expect a compressor of this level to regularly retail for.
It's a single stage with a 50% duty cycle. Nothing wrong with it, but not any kind of deal either.

It depends on what I'm doing.

Don't misunderstand me, I have a compressor similar to this one and have been using it for twenty some-odd years. I am in no way saying that it is not good enough, because mine has been good enough for me. Good enough, but of course I would like to have more.
It's just that I cannot see this as any type of "deal".
