Does anyone have experience with vintage air compressors? I have a Quincy 325 that I rebuilt and it works great....but lately I've noticed that after it shuts off and unloads (has two automatic unloaders) I can hear and feel air leaking out of the fitting where the air cleaner screws on...and this will continue for a good while, sometimes even until if fires up again. Not sure what the cause of this might be...any suggestions? thanks in advance..Lance

I'd be looking at the check valve at the tank. If that malfunctions, it would do exactly what you are experiencing.

This right here.. If the check valve is doing its job then there isn't pressurized air to be leaking in the pump itself.
