So I need a 120v. Ill be using it for impact, air ratchet, air nailer and filling tires. So I dont need a big 220v unit. So far Im looking at these two units. Is there any discernible differences that would make one better than the other? I think the Cman Pro unit actually filled faster than any other out there and has good reviews. What yall think?

I was in Sears yesterday looking at the same exact compressor, at the $499.99 sale price it's now showing, it's on sale and it wasn't yesterday.

I'll be watching this thread, I'm in the same exact boat as you and wanting to upgrade my current 4 gallon craftsman unit.

I've looked at Ingersol Rand, Northern Tool's (North Star), Dewalt, PC, Husky, etc, etc, etc. They all seem to my made equally with electric motors and cast iron dual pumps.

Yeah. Just hoping we get some people in here that have real experience.

Does anyone know where to find the end of sale date at sears?

I had the horizontal version of the Craftsman compressor and really liked it but got tired of the floor space it took up and traded it away, wishing I had bought the vertical version. With hindsight I wish I had just kept it and built a dedicated area for it in a corner.

The Napa 26 gallon compressor gets good reviews and is now priced at $559.

NAC 824253PAT. It might have slightly higher CFM specs than the ones you listed. Worth double checking that.

Of those 3, the Porter Cable and Craftsman are definitely better than Husky.

Do NOT even consider oil-less.

Spend time searching CL first as you can get very good compressor for the $400 to $500 you are considering spending. A quality compressor just doesn't wear out after a few years. Take advantage of someone else needing to sell when they're moving or whatever. You win with quality compressor at lower price. Heck for $400 to $500 you can get 5 HP and 60 gal and run 240v electrical to power it !! ;)

. . . to get "shotgun" idea of prices and what's out there. Add other variables like state to narrow down area.

Here's example of 26 gallon 2 HP Maxux for $300 you might get for $250
