A guy who runs an independent tool shop (that doubles as an air compressor service center) sell Puma and claims that he doesn't even stock parts - because they don't need them. That is what i have heard about Puma. Made in Taiwan (IIRC) but worth a try...

I went through the exact search you did most of 10 years ago and found that Puma was the brand that kept coming up. I never heard a bad thing about reliability or any other bad press on the brand, so I bought one.

As I said, that was most of ten years ago and I have never heard it run yet! I needed 220 power at the detached garage and I have never had the money to get the job done so there it sets in the corner of my shop gathering dust and waiting for the the day.

Understand I bought it right before we had kids when there was a little extra money for extras shortly after the purchase we started having kids and I haven't had five bucks to my name ever since! I am not an electrician by any means so I do not consider this a diy job.

So to answer your question yes I bought a Puma compressor but unfortunately I cannot tell you how good it has been, only what I heard! :wtf:
