I have a brand new kobalt air compressor, 26 gallon. And have been having issues with pressure drop. I just got a used craftsman 33 gallon air compressor. I would like to run both motors to fill both tanks and have both tanks connected to the same useable airline. The kobalt has 4.5 Cfm at 90 and the craftsman has 6.5 cfm at 90 psi. Both are 150 psi tanks. The kobalt motor is a 1.5 hp and the craftsman is a 5hp, the both are 120v motors. I run impacts die grinders air drills, etc, any help would be greatly appreciated

first hing, the Craftsman motor is not 5hp. it's a lie from years gone by. lots of discussion on that in here.
but,
you can easily tie both compressors together. connect them before the regulator, use only 1 regulator . and use 2 separate circuits to avoid blowing the breaker.
most regulators have a bleed function, they bleed off air pressure if the line pressure is more than the setting on the reg. its almost impossible to get them both set the same, thats why I say use only 1 regulator

Use one tank as the junction point and run the hose from there. Set your on/off pressures differently between the two units. If you are trying to run high-CFM tools, go straight out of the tank and bypass all regulators and fittings that you can.
