This is NOT an answer to your original question, but bear with me...
I installed this street elbow/******/ball valve/etc. to replace the little finger cutter that came on the compressor. You know the one; you have to get down on your belly like a snake just to get your hand under there far enough to get to it.

I don't have a pic but I also used 1/2" square steel tube to make a handle that's about 40" above the floor so I don't even have to bend over any more to empty the condensation. Now I empty it every few days. Before the ball valve I doubt it got emptied more than a couple of times a year.
One of these days when I get a roundtuit I'm going to get a hose barbed to male garden hose connector and put one of these on the end of that flex hose:
