I have a Husky branded air cutoff tool. It works well except one new problem. The trigger is stuck in the on position. This is not the external trigger, but the internal switch. The only way to shut it off it to cut off the air. Any advice on how to fix it? I can take the guard off and remove the turbine, but I cannot figure out how to get the other end where the trigger/valve is.

Here are some photos.

Try filling it with WD-40 and letting it sit for a day. Then fill it again and put the air to it, attempting to work the trigger. It may actually be a mechanical problem with something in the trigger linkage, but this method has worked for me with a couple of cheap air tools with similar problems.

Usually it's because the trigger gets "froze" in the on position. You need to take it apart and clean it and lube it up. I can't tell from your pictures but usually the trigger will have some kind of screw directly across from it to take it out. You can try letting it soak but usually if it's stuck it needs to come apart. Should be easy to do.

I have few older air tools, as well as one fairly new Blue Point tire buffer that have failed trigger valves and are stuck "on." The problem is that the business end of the valve is a rubber or urethane plunger at the end of the metal push rod that is backed with a spring which pushes this plunger against a seat to seal it when the trigger is release. The urethane piece has disintegrated, and there is nothing left to make the seal. This is not a simple o-ring or washer that is easily substituted, each of these tools has a slightly different design to this piece. This might or might not be the problem you are having as well.
