Looking for a new Die Grinder...just like the Impact I asked about I had an IR that I really liked..now looking to replace it(sold it years ago)..anyway..been looking at IR's but have found a big variance in prices..also have seen the IR301 with diff suffixes behind them..a b and c..anyone know what the diff is with the suffixes? also as to why the big price differences? I can buy an IR301 off ebay and pay shipping and still get it cheaper than my local IR dealer/service center wants for one..also what do you guys use? This will be used almost daily for cyl head/block surface prep/clean-up.

If you want the Caddy of die grinders, look into DotCo. It will be the last die grinder you will ever need to buy.

If you are going to be using it alot, you have to have one of the insulated, ergonomic models, they get very cold after running awhile. The new Dotco is excellent, I think Sioux also has an insulated model that is top quality. I have an older Dotco, metal housing, no insulation. The great thing about the expensive models is that they use less air than the cheapies. I keep my Dotco at home where my air supply is limited, and keep my cheapie at work where the air is free and unlimited.
