Air filter tester?

Seem like an awful lot of money for a glorified droplight.

You just put your filter element on the platform, put on the lid, turn on the light and look.

I have an NOS one, no box for Baldwin filters.....I just can't believe its worth so much.

Optical filter checking can be deceptive At least with furnace filters, many work better after picking up a little dirt. I like the inexpensive flow testers for them, better. When a filter is brand new the vane gauge shows a certain air flow that you can adjust to read 100%. As the filter clogs up you can see what percentage is left. I think they have similar ones you can install in your car.
