So I am in need of drier air! I live in FL, and it's killing my tools and im running through desiccant like crazy. I won an ebay auction today on a unit, and am wondering if anybody has experience with it? This is the auction:

I plan to do the DIY A/C condenser cooling build to cool the air, and then run it through this. Is it better to run the water separator between the head and the tank, or is it better to run it after the tank, in-line near the tool? I figure in-line near the tool would give the air an even greater chance to cool; however that would mean water in the compressor tank. What's everyone's opinion on this?

I installed my water separator after the piping went up and around the shop ceiling. The longer you give the air to cool the easier it will be to remove the water. I don't have a drier but here's how I'd set it up.

1. As much piping as possible going to the Norgren water filter.

2. The air drier next followed by the desiccant.
