Hi Everyone

I'm looking for an air (pneumatic) foot switch. Basically I want to be able to have a pedal that I can step on to allow compressed air out of a nozzle that's at bench height. I use 2 hands for this operation of holding a hot piece of plastic which I want to cool with compressed air by way of a foot switch. Simple really but I can't find a simple aka inexpensive switch.

Any ideas, links or thoughts?:headscrat

We use pneumatic petal valves at work, for lift/tilt tables.

Here's the link:

Try an electronic switch that controls a Pneumatic Valve (Pneumatic Solenoid)

What you need is a foot pedal control valve for a glass beader. Any place that sells them would have repair parts. TP Tools. Harbor Frieight and ABS come to mind.

How about a blowgun? Build a mount to hold it flat, mount a pedal on a hinge to compress the plunger, or epoxy a plate on the plunger. Then add a air hose to the blowgun and output to your part. $3-4 and 1hr time Is it worth it?

Ahh yes, great minds think alike (fools seldom differ:thumbup: )

Looking at the links provided it was just a bit too pricey for my use so I today fashioned up a foot operated blowgun of sorts. I'll let you know how it works tomorrow!
