I'm looking for a bit for an air hammer. Specifically, a hammer bit. I haven't had any trouble find steel bits but I'm looking for something non marring. Like brass, bronze, aluminum. There's the rub. Either nobody makes nonsteel hammer bits, or I'm not looking in the right places. I figure my best bet is to quit spinning my wheels and ask the garage journal community. You all know everything.:rocker:

Thanks,
Joe

Interesting. I screwed around on there a hell of a lot longer than thirty seconds. Thanks for finding it for me.

I did too. Or I thought I did. I think I must've said something bad about googles mom once. Paybacks... ;)

Look up rivet sets on ebay. They are there also - brass and aluminum - 2 different head diameters

this^^
- nylon also listed there - got one in my watch list in brass for a few months now - thinking brass or nylon would be potentially time saving with some metal work/body work I need to do.

Cornwell sells a set with all 3 of those. Dont remember the price but my guy told me they were lifetime warranty. Imo that's worth a few extra $$

Looks like the cornwell bits are the same ones in the first link, the vimtools one, although this is the first place I've seen the bit seperately. I couldn't see a price on line though.
On a side note, the company I work for used to make sure they were buying the best tools for their mechanics to work with. There's a lot of vintage snap on, proto, etc but now days it's a lot of stuff like westward. Junk. Last year one of the guys pulled a broken craftsman breaker bar out of the trash and convinced the tool crib he could get it replaced for free. It was almost like it was too much effort. I'm buying the bits as part of a work project.
