Air Hose Reel Question

When mounting an air hose reel, do you mount it with the hose exiting the top or bottom of the reel?

The hose reels i have are made to be multi position.one i even have mounted side ways.

I have done both.
Original I mounted it hose on the top as they were mounted lower on a shelving unit as the garage ceiling was standard height.
Now as I am working in a higher bay I have mounted them higher so I can walk under them and still grab the hose to pull it down
