I truly believe he was being genuine. A shorter hose will help increase the power. Either way, will you give us a little side by side comparison between the Astro and HF once you get it? Thanks for your service.

You bet I will. You are more than welcome. Best 12 years of my life. B52-G

I used to be a kid and watching a cartoon. The family had a pet. The pets name was "Astro" I did a brake job on a van. The vans model was an "Astro"

Well lest try this again. 2nd attempt. Well my attractive UPS driver dropped of a package from Astro Pneumatics. She had firm thighs, along with a cute smile. Not what I was expecting from UPS.Anyway the box had seen better days but the tool inside was in prime condition.
At first it rebelled about being in next to other tools of other brands however, it is now relaxing next to an air gun along with other assorted air tools.
I would like to thank the special individual at Astro Pneumatic's for send me this quality tool.I believe his name is Chris.
Well yesterday was the exam phase.I was going to put new rotors and pads on my 2007 F150. I started off with about 130 LBS of pressure in the compressor. With the trigger fully depress,I got just over 100 LBS working pressure.I did oil this prior getting under way.All the lugs were removed however, it did take a bit of time on certain lugs. The tires had been installed by my friendly Firestone dealer.Anyway the brake job was completed and the little tool was like the "Little Engine that Could".It has now been wiped clean and is resting comfortably inside my tool chest.
The tool fits comfortably within my grasp. I have hardly any issues with it in my weak hand.
I would like to thank the folks again for the generous gift. It is not everyday that something like this happens to me.Your hearts are in the right places. My only wish is that I could thank you in person, and shake your hand.Your generosity and kindness will be rewarded. I wish that I was able to do the rewarding.
So again I wish to express many thanks to the people at Astro Pneumatic s. I will send a few decals as soon as SMA sends them to me.Be careful as to where you place them. Mature women enjoy there magic.
Again, Thank You, Sincerely, Ken

PS, I have front end work on do on my wife's Winstar soon. I will be keep updating this post. A ball joint replacement set is next on my list. just don't tell the wife.

I'm about 99% sure it is the 3/8" HF impact gun. Not your hose and compressor setup.

I bought one of those 3/8 impacts from harbor freight and it wouldn't take the lugs off my car set at 100 ft-lbs. Returned it and bought the 1/2" and it took the lugs off. Still wouldn't recommend the HF impact though...

Difference between 1/4 and 3/8 inch hose is pretty obvious. Go to the store and pull one off the shelf, you should be able to gauge it after that.
It depends which 1/2" HF impact you are talking about. In the Earthquake series there are a700 an 800 and a1000 ft lb wrench that are all strong enough for almost anything you will ever do. Below that there are sme real cheapos that couldn't turn a door knob. The $79 700 ft lb model gets great reviews. I have the model it replaced and it works well too.
