I have a small compressor which I don’t use that often because the hose I have *****. It super stiff and hard to work with. What would be a great replacement hose to be able to work with on the cold
Use rubber hose. I like Parker Push-Lock hose and fittings; warm the end of the hose in hot water before driving in fittings. No hose clamps required; 3/8" hose w/ 1/4" NPT fittings. Husky has rubber hose as well... The plastic hose is unusable in cold weather.
BluBird 3/8 x 50' Rubber Air Hose: Boasting a 10-Year Warranty, this 100% rubber hose is 40% lighter, flexible from -50°F to +190°F, and designed to withstand 300 PSI. Ideal for industrial use.
There are a number of other clones, usually advertised as “hybrid”.
Smaller diameter will be easiest to work with.
I also have a very light hose of unknown heritage that I use with the pancake compressor. It has a sort of mesh woven inner construction Under the outer vinyl. Think it came from HD years ago.
