Air lines, What do I do with all this?

I will have the following copper tube left over after I run all my (3/4") lines...
12' of 3/4", 4' of 1", 16' of 1.25", 12' of 2", & 8' of 3"!
All of which has very thick walls.

I am wondering just how to best use it. My goal is to get the best cooling & drying out of what I have. I just don't know what I can or can't use & how to best use what I have to optimize my results.

Suggestions, comments...

Run Moisture or Condensation Catches everywhere you can. Of course you will have to have a Valve on the Catch to release the Moisture.

Sorry I don't really have any ideas for you. Weeeeeeellll...I did use 3" sections of the 2" Copper Tubing for Curtain Rod Holders for my House one time. Polished them up and they looked great! You can use the 3/4" for the Curtain Rod itself.

All I got man! =)

The 3/4" would make a good drop somewhere/
The 1" could possibly make a good mid-wall drop.
The 1-1/4" is bizarre but you got a fair amount of it.

The 2" and 3" could be combined to make a nice auxillary tank or a condensation catch (with a drain on the bottom).

The thick wall stuff is made so that it can be silver soldered, but its not necessary. To soft solder it you will burn through some solder. Make sure you get the pipe good and evenly hot all the way around and clean it good. Hopefully you can get some fittings like you got the pipe. Otherwise the 2" and 3" stuff is like $30 per fitting.

OT: I have a couple big sticks of 2" and 2-1/2" that I plan to make a large tank from and mount high on one garage wall. Should hold quite a bit of air. Then, I plan to make a few different drops: on from the comp to tank, one to a sandblaster (that I dont own yet and a dryer [HF]), and another on the opposite side of my garage to run air tools. All copper with brass fittings!
I'm still in the accumulation stages. Post some pics of what you do.

Open a short section to fit over your vise to make soft jaws. Flatten some out to make welding backers. Wind chimes.

I'd keep the 3/4" and sell the rest for scrap, use the money to buy a good water trap.

Grade the piping, for moisture removal, then leave a valve for blowing down. A simple moisture/dirt accumulator with an oiler afterwards for air tools. Also an outlet or two for an air hose that doesn't/won't have oil in it for airing up the tires and what-not.

You could always take the 3" and 2", buy a short piece of soft drawn and wrap the 2" pipe, then encircle the entire works with the 3". Cap the ends with flattened out pieces of the 3" if you don't want to buy and drill 3" caps. Silver-solder the works, Fill with water and use it as a cooling leg for the air, and bleed off the excess moisture.

May work, may not-just an idea!

I posted this in an airlines thread in the "general" sub forum also, hoping to get ideas there as well. I was thinking about getting some drying out of this setup as well as some extra air capacity. So far this is one of the ideas I have come up with so far.

For "air line 01(a&b)" each of the 3" sections will be 4' long. I have 4 3" to 1.25" fittings already so I will only need to buy 4 3" end caps. Those 3" fittings are krazy $$$ which is one of the reasons why I have thought about going this route.
-"air line01a" & "air line01b" both use 3" & 1.25" tube: It will go between the compressor pump & the main 60 gal. tank "a" will have a drain, "b" will not but will utilize the tank drain.
Which one is the better idea a or b? I'm thinking "b" but I would like other opinions!

-"air line02" uses 2", 1.25" & 3/4" tube & are my main lines. The 2" is 12' long run.
The "basement" 1.25" will drop 8' then 90 into the 3/4" woodshop runs. I will have lines & drains in there appropriately.
The "ceeling hose reel drop" will run 1.25" along the ceeling of my garage 8' to a hose reel in the center of one bay. (no drain in this line at all... OK or not?)
The "garage door reel drop will run 3/4" 8' across the ceeling then drop 6' to the reel where I will "T" off & have a drain below the "T".
The "drain drop will drop 3/4" straight down 9'

Ideas, opinions, options?

scrap it #1 copper was over $2 a pound all the drops should come off the top for an air connection end of run is only for drain .just use 3/4" after all most air line hoses or quick connects are only 3/8" at max

Thats quite a trick set of air lines you suggest there guys! Hmmm lets see, air lines running threw a swing set & some wind chimes???? Sorry I don't get it! :headscrat. Please don't bother telling me how! I don't have any desire for either in the garage.

The other ideas are appreciated!

Does anyone know if it's OK to use this type of copper as a "cooler" after the compressor pump & before the main tank? It has been suggested that it's a no no due to heat.

I am looking for any ideas on layout for cooling utilizing what I have.
