Need to buy a Air Move --- the stuff carpet guys use.

For those familar, are certain brands more preferred.
Let me hear it. I know Homers has a Ridgid variant, and online there's like a dozen other brands - all varying HP/CFM ratings

Thanks for the links. Those look like permanent units.

I was talking portable.
Just need for uninsulated room under our rear porch.
It takes on water when it rains...
I just need to dry it after such until I'm ready to have it redug and rebuilt.

Yea their site isn't the best for navigating

Seeing your intended use the consumer grade unit would be fine, the commercial units are more robust to handle being knocked about job site to job site
One thing that might be a concern tho is DBA ratings if its to be used near living space

You may not need to spend any money at all. For what you want it for I would just look up your local HVAC shops and see if you can get them to give you an old furnace blower or two.

I've used 3 different snail models. The best ones were orange in color, so i think they were Rigid (sp). The Stanley ones were the next best one followed by the grey ones by Nilfisk (sp).

I actually did come across the Dri-Eaz in my googling.

However, I think this is one of those times where the Ridgid at $200 might be a good buy with their ~lifetime~ warranty---easy swap/replace at Home Depot

This exactly. Make a sheet metal nozzle to reduce the outlet size of the blower. The motors may be only powerful enough for a restricted outlet.

Ayuh,.... Agreed,.... I got a few of 'em scrappin' a few years ago,....

Couple of short 4x4s screwed to the bottom for feet, 'n ya got one 'ell of an air mover,...

One of the larger ones, I screwed to the garage wall over a 12" hole from an ole smoke pipe,...
Vents the garage in no time,...

Got another big one in an upstairs bedroom window,....
Summer time, point that out the window, turn it on high, 'n open the backdoor on the north side,...
Cools the house right off, quickly,....

A smaller one, I put feet on it, a handle over the top, 'n a 10' cord on it,...
Portable air, anywhere ya want it,....

All Free, is the Best part,..... ;)
