Air nibbler

What's the best, for the money, Air nibbler that will cut up to 16 gauge steel sheet metal?

I have an Ingersol works excellent but hard to control. If I were to do it again I would buy a shear ( the kind that cuts about an eighth inch strip in the middle, rolls it into a small coil) much easier to cut straight stuff plus you don't have thousands of half moon metal chips stuck all over the floor and in your socks.

I have the Harbor Frieght one, and it's worked fine (hasn't seen that much use). +1 on being hard to control sometimes, and getting a shear instead, especially if you're doing a lot of straighter cuts. I got the nibbler b/c I was doing complicated patterns.

I use a Bosch electric Nippler my is good to 14 or 16ga. sheet metal. I use on spray booth duct & corogated roofs.

I would have thought that a nibbler with a straight edge would be better for straight cuts than a shear

I have a HF air nibbler and it's OK but its asset is the ability to make sharp turns, not doing straight lines, and it does shoot the chips all over.

I haven't used a shear.

It seems like no matter how many tools I have, I need just one more to do things *right* this time!

I have the harbor frieght one,it works well,but the mess I had no Idea about,now I'll get the shears.
