Got an old kerosene heater I'm trying to fix up. Changed filters and plug and got it running. I want to check/adjust the air pressure. The Youtube videos say you use a low pressure air gauge?

Is it similar to a tire gauge? Where do I get something like this? Not looking to spend a lot, probably the only thing I'll need it for. Thanks.

No you need something very low pressure, down in the water column range usually. A manometer style. Or they do make low pressure dial gauges.

What is the pressure range your looking to measure, what accuracy, and what is the fitting that you have to attach the gauge to? There are all sorts of gauges out there for measuring so the pressure you looking for and the +/- tolerance you need to hold.

My old school vacuum gauge also measures positive pressure for fuel pump testing that's what I use.
On the back of the heater there are 2 holes.
1 is a screwdriver adjustable air bleed to set the pressure.
The other hole has a plug. Take out the plug and adapt as neccesary to fit the vacuum line for the gauge.
Google for instructions if you don't have the manual.

Dare I say I bet a HF model would work well enough for your needs? :O

Pump setting states 3.6 PSI so I'm guessing something in the 1-5 range...1 -10 maybe? I've got a few fittings that fit the threaded hole I can attach a line to.

Yes, I've watched a few videos on how to adjust it. I believe one video even mentioned using a fuel pump tester. Didn't think to check HF...I'll give that one a shot. Thanks.

There is a specific gage that you really want - best price I've seen anywhere is on eBay. It has to be low low pressure, accurate and 1/4 NPT.

accuracy is important - skip HF and homemade "I'll use this" ideas - .5psi can be 30% drop in efficiency on one of these heaters.
I'm no expert - only just learning to work on these myself at work, 90% of my info comes from reddyparts.com and a book from a parts supply at work.
