Air Quick Connect Sizes

I just received some quick coupler bodies that I ordered through Zoro and they are gigantic!
I ordered 1/2" because the wall fitting they will thread into are 1/2 fnpt. I didnt realize that there were also different hose fitting sizes ?!?
So I need to send these back and get 1/2" fnpt by ???
Whats the most common; 1/4" or 3/8"?
I have some air tools and chucks but don't know what size there called. They have always worked on my old portable.

1/4" fittings are the most common size for air tools.

Yes, 1/4" are the most common and traditionally is what's supplied when you purchase an air tool. You can switch all your tools to use a 1/2" fitting or probably a better idea from the sounds of it would be to return that and pick up some 1/4" fittings along with a 1/2" to 1/4" reducer bushing thingy and you'll be golden
