I have that one and love it. It's been rock solid. I believe it's been rebuilt once after 5-6 years of hard use. It's strong, but easy to control. I could **** down form seal exhaust clamps it tight spaces with it. I now use the Matco "pitbull" 3/8" for that with the extra zip it has. It's pricey, but well work the money in my opinion.

Also, mine doesn't have the 360 head.

I have this air ratchet with a 1/4" head on it. Love it. I highly recommend it. I'd buy another if I needed to.

I have the older version, the red one and it's great for me. I don't know how it compares to others but I use it a lot. It's funny how fast I got dependent on it, been doing everything by hand since I was little and now when I have to actually use a ratchet I get all bratty.

Anyone use this one? http://www.mactools.com/shoponline/...4714-38-sealed-rotating-head-air-ratchet.aspx

I had an IR 1105max-D3 mini ratchet but it gave up the ghost after using it a few times :tantrum2: I never filled out the registration card so it's not warrantied either... :(

Are you sure that they won't warranty it? I vaguely remember reading that so long as you have proof of payment, they can't require that you fill out the registration form. I know that I have read on some forms that they say that they use that info to inform you if there is a recall.

Something in the head let go :dunno: You can stop it with your hand but the motor keeps hammering away doing nothing.

If it truly was only used "a few times" as you claim, I'd first look at warranty.

Well, a few times (5 or 6 occasions) in the year I've owned it... I only just now really need an air ratchet and it quit on the second bolt after it sat in my box forever taking up space.

I have a Mac air ratchet like that. It is the bst air ratchet i have ever owned. Have been using it for at least 12 years. I also have had the 1/4" drive version for even longer.

I don't use my 3/8 air ratchet at all, I only use my hammer head.
I do use my 1/4 air ratchets a bunch. I've got the Mac slim head 1/4 drive, and like it a lot.

I have that exact ratchet. Lots of power, but that's about it. I don't like how the exhaust blows at your work or your face if you forget to rotate the exhaust outlet. The paddle throttle imo is too big, making it hard to get a good grip on the ratchet and be able to control the throttle at the same time.

The Mac swivel head is a nice ratchet. My coworker has a 1/4" one. I use my Snap On 1/4" all the time and have a cheap Craftsman 3/8" that I use occasionally. The only reason I bought the SO over the Mac is because I got it barely used at a steal.
