Does anyone have a recommendation of an air-reciprocating saw. I have been around the net and they come in all brands and prices. Thanks, Jack

I think they are all pretty similar.
That one looks a lot like mine , but mine has a black grip
I dont have it here but I think I got it at Sears years ago....possibly Ingersoll Rand ?
It is not the kind of tool that normally get a lot of use.
So if your not going to use it much you may want to try a cheaper one.
Use lots of air tool oil and even the cheap junk air tools last quite a while .....well at least the air motors do.
Oil it before you use it and during use if your using it a while .
When your done put more oil in it and put the air to it for just a second.
That way everthing is lubed up and wont rust up on you while it is not being used.

Oh and if you run out of regular blades for it you can use hack saw blades in these.
You can just cut one to the size you want and if you want a tapered one or whatever profile you need just grind it to fit on a bench grinder.

I have the same one NeilH posted and it works great, extremely convenient when the sawzall's too brutish. I just mini-tubbed my chevy II with it. The snap-on blades are the only ones that I've used that fit it that seem to work well so buy extras when and if you order it.

ill second the coment about the hack saw blades. i use them all the time. but only because work will not supply the correct blades. the only thing i find is that they dont stay sharp as long as the proper ones. ive always put that down to them not being designed to be used at such high speed.

top notch, reliable tool. thumbs up from me.

crunch some numbers on this purchase, this tool dont get used a lot. you may be better off buying a cheaper one. im employed as a full time mechanic and this tool gets used about twice a year.

I have one that LOOKS like it was made in the same Chinese factory as the SNAP-ON shown above. Bought mine on sale from HARBOR FREIGHT for around $20.00, so it must be junk..........but its junk that works and does its job

I used mine to cut out A LOT of misc sheet metal flooring on a Camaro resto project.
Now it sits in the tool box waiting .............

I also have a older Miwaukie SawZall

I think the quality of the blades will be more important than name that is on saw...

If you NEED that Truck Brand name, line of credit and warranty go for it.........
