I'm cutting some steel pipe in a hard to get to place so my 3" grinder is of limited use. I can get in there with my air saw but I'm going through cheap blades rapidly. Any suggestions on a quality blade that will last longer than a minute?

I've cut regular hacksaw blades down to fit. Generally the tooth area is hard, but the blade back area is flexible and easy to cut. Cheaper than the purpose-made blades. For pipe, speed and tooth count is important, go slow and use a coarse blade.

Some people say that they can break them to fit. Maybe you could cut through the soft part and then snap off the hard part.

You need some lubrication/cooling. I use dish soap thinned with water and a spray bottle. I spray while I cut.
