So about 11 months ago I bought a rigid roofing cutter to use as an air saw. A coworker bought one before me and loved it as I did. But just recently it has no power. It stalls the second I put it to metal. This saw had an amazing amount of power for what I paid for it. Has anyone else had this happen to them and actually had a way to fix it. I doubt I still have the receipt so taking it back to home depot is probably out of the question. I would appreciate any knowledge you guys could give. Thanks

At the risk of stating the incredibly obvious..........you have put a few drops of air tool oil in it, right???

edit: if not, it can, in many cases, make a huge difference.

Check to see if the exhaust port is clogged, or too heavy an oil was used to lube it. Did dirt get into the intake ? Maybe a bad o-ring inside allowing the air to bypass the fins ?

You'll have to take it apart to find the issue.
