I'm trying to find a mounting bracket to use with hose clamps. Something like this except for a 12" diameter tank.

I already found some 12" hose clamps on another site but can't find a bracket after searching a while on google. It just has to be a simple bracket with slots for the clamp to pass through. Anyone know of something? Thanks.

I was looking at some Over-The-Road truck air brake parts for part of my air system in the garage. I seem to remember they had tanks and brackets about that size for the air systems on large trucks. I don't have any specific site...I think I just Google'd 'truck air brake tanks' or something.

Amerex extinguisher brackets 809, 810, 811 or 862, 872.
http://www.amerex-fire.com/products/product/17
Then click on "brackets" . The first page lists sizes, the second page shows pictures. The third page lists the bolt patterns for the 807-810 brackets.

We use the rubber strap brackets for extinguishers on off-road vehicles like crawler tractors. The running board brackets 807-810, have an adjustable bracket and are what we use in the service vans to hold the N tanks in place.

It seems Amerex doesn't go over 8", although the 864 is about what I need...except with a wider bracket so it can have two rows of bolts (it will be bolted underneath the truck). It seems so simple but I just can't find anything... a u-shaped piece of metal basically. Not finding any 12" u-bolts either.

Still looking...

Sounds like you already have the difficult part, the bracket itself should be real easy to fab up.

Look for some place that has junk fork lifts. The propane powered fork lifts have tanks strapped down near the rear of the fork truck. The won't be as nice as the one pictured. But they won't be as costly.

You got me thinking, so now I want to have a mount for my airtank on my atv trailer. I just whipped up this drawing for the brackets. Can you tell me where you sourced the clamps? I'm going to buy some for my project. Should be easy enough to fab these out of some 1/8" x 2" strap, cut the holes, bend the corners, and shape the saddle to mate the radius of the tank. Then I'll get them powdercaoated.

Thanks for the idea!

If ubolts will do why not go buy some 3/8" all thread and bend it around the tank and call it good. Or get a piece of 1/8x1" flat and bend it around 1/2 the tank and weld allthread or joiner nuts on it.

What tools/skills do you have available or what budget are you looking at?
